My MLS portfolio highlights work showing my commitment to providing anticipatory information services to targeted users while integrating the core values of the School of Library and Information Management at Emporia State University.

These projects demonstrate a focus on excellence in user-centered, anticipatory information services, on achieving beauty in design, high-end content – all while “thinking like an MBA.”

Each section meets one of the MLS program outcomes.

01 Professional commitment to the philosophy of user-centered information services.

02 Knowledge of interdisciplinary theories that equip and empower the information professional.

03 Skill at conducting an information-needs assessment and in designing a customized information product based on that assessment.

04 Synthesis of evaluation of diagnosed information need, retrieval of accurate, relevant facts as well as interpretation and repackaging of such data.

05 Ability to lead appropriate change in the marketplace of information by skillful communication, organizational know-how and business acumen.

06 Ability to teach information literacy skills effectively.

07 Enthusiasm for life-long learning necessary to respond to changing conditions in the marketplace of information delivery.
